Vocational Training International (VTI) was organized and implemented several years ago. The need came from inquires in the manufacturing and metal-working industries to provide on-site training for their employees.
Our initial courses consisted of improving employee skills in various welding processes.From that point it took us into Welding Inspection (CWI), Special Inspection for Steel (ICC), Welding Procedure Preparation, and Welder Certification.
Our program of study now includes Structural Plan Reading, and Fabrication Shop Qualification Prep using the City of Los Angeles and AISC guidelines.
VTI offers a curriculum based program of study in the classroom, as well as hands-on field or shop training to both small or large groups. Our services accommodates Domestic, International, and even Spanish speaking clients.

We are currently reaching out to your sign business. VTI has been working with sign companies since 1998. We provide on site training and certifications for welding aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, or any other metals.

We will certify your welders in any welding process including TIG and MIG. We can write any required welding procedure specifications (WPS) needed for your shop. If your shop is not LA City or AISC approved fabricator we can assist your shop with the original LA City or AISC qualification or re-approval. In addition we provide certified inspection in house or in the field.

To: All Steel Fabricators Approved by the City of Los Angeles

At one time, a steel fabricator needed only to be approved by the city of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety to bid on most major projects, and contracts. Today, this policy is changing rapidly, because the push for no more waivers. If you are currently not AISC approved you will not be allowed to bid on projects requiring AISC approvals.

I would like to be the first to offer my assistance in preparing your application package for AISC qualifications. I have over twenty-five years experience in assisting Fabricators for their LA City Fabricator approvals. Along with my staff, we have over eighty years of collective experience in steel fabrication, construction, and code compliance. We are an international company, with both domestic and international clients.
